Laughing Dog Brewing is an award winning Craft Brewery located in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains just outside of Sandpoint Idaho in the city of Ponderay. We brew our Beer using the local water, which is ideal for brewing smooth clean ales. With few exceptions we use only Water, Barley, Hops and Yeast in our beer. The Laughing Yellow Lab that appears on all of the brews is Ben, the laughing dog. Ben is the inspiration behind Laughing Dog Brewing.

History

Laughing Dog Brewing opened August 2005. Year 2006 was our first fiscal year and we sold 1,000 barrels of beer. In Year 2007 we sold 1500 barrels, for year 2008 we brewed just under 2000 Barrels. Currently the capacity of the brewery is 4500 barrels per year.

Production

Laughing Dog Brewing produces 5 core beers that are available in bottles and kegs - Crème Ale, Pale Ale, IPA as well as DogZilla Black IPA and Alphadog Imperial IPA which are available in 22oz bottles.

Laughing Dog has 2 cellar reserve beers, Devil Dog Imperial IPA released in the spring and the The DDogFather Imperial Stout released in the fall. Both are available in 22 oz bottles and kegs.

Seasonal beers are also produced, with the Huckleberry Crème Ale a very strong seller for the summer season, and Cold Nose Winter Ale being a big seller in the winter months. Both are available in kegs and bottles.
